Dr. Ali Nette graduated from Dalhousie University in 2012, following in her father's and grandfather's footsteps. After observing her father's love for the profession and commitment to patient care, she discovered her passion for dentistry. "I find it rewarding to spend time with patients, develop a relationship and be trusted with their oral care. I love it when we're able to help someone who may have been anxious about dental work become comfortable coming to the office, in many cases they even look forward to it!"
Dr. Ali spent her first 4 years of practice in Whitehorse, Yukon Territory. While it was an incredible adventure, Ali, her husband Richard and their then 1-year-old daughter moved home to Nova Scotia to be closer to family. Now a family of four, Ali, Richard and their two daughters love spending time with family and friends and being active.
Dr. Ali has a commitment to furthering her skills and is always learning. She is a member of the Annapolis Valley Dental Society, the East Coast Endodontic Study Club, Invisalign Molis Coaching Study Club, and is a member of the American Academy of Clear Aligners.
MEET THE DOCTOR
Originally from Cape Breton, Dr. Maggie is a proud graduate of Dalhousie University, where she earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 2021. Dentistry runs in the family—both of her parents were dentists—so it was a natural path. For Dr. Maggie, dentistry is the perfect blend of science and art, allowing her to combine clinical precision with creativity in providing patient-centered care.
Dr. Maggie is passionate about helping patients feel comfortable and confident in their smiles and takes pride in offering gentle, personalized treatment to patients of all ages. To help patients feel at ease, she offers nitrous oxide (laughing gas) sedation, making treatment more relaxing for those with dental anxiety.
As part of her dedication to clinical excellence, Dr. Maggie is an active member of the Annapolis Valley Dental Society and the East Coast Endodontic Study Club. She is deeply committed to continuing education and regularly pursues advanced training to provide the best possible care for her patients.
Outside the clinic, Dr. Maggie enjoys hiking, traveling, reading, and expressing her artistic side through painting and sketching.
